Because of its robustness, PEEK is used to fabricate items used in
demanding applications, including bearings, piston parts, pumps, compressor
plate valves, and cable insulation. It is one of the few plastics compatible
with ultra-high vacuum applications. PEEK is considered an advanced biomaterial
used in medical implants. It is extensively used in the aerospace, automotive,
teletronic, and chemical process industries.
PEEK compares well with PTFE on most dimensions with the exception of it
being much more durable for high wear applications and less suitable in applications
requiring non-stick/ sliding surfaces and/or high dielectric resistance.

Key advantages of PEEK Components:
- Chemical resistance – ideal for environments
involving harsh chemicals and also for medical inserts
- Durable – high wear resistance – well suited as a
substitute for PTFE in applications exceeding the wear resistance of PTFE
- Customisable – machine-able from stock shapes
into any size and/or taper ratio
- Can be used in temperatures ranging from
-260°C to +260°C
